Bengaluru. Maharashtra’s Pimpri-Chinchwad based Indian defence startup Zeus Numerix emerged as one of the winners at fourth edition of Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) India Start-Up Challenge. Zeus won the award for its Reduction of Radar Signature of Ships Project.

The award was announced during the ‘Start-Up Manthan 2021’ event as part of the 13th edition of Aero India 2021 held at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru on February 5.

As part of the felicitation, a Certificate of Recognition was awarded to Zeus Numerix at the hands of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar, Defence Production Secretary Raj Kumar and IDEX DIO CEO Sanjay Jaju.

Zeus Numerix, a defence start-up, was started from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) in 2004 with a vision of developing simulation software and innovative engineering products. Zeus has completed more than 400 projects, with many of them being the first-of-its-kind in India.

Recognising it to be the most innovative company of the country, Zeus was awarded the first DST-FICCI-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Medal in 2007. It is a DSIR certified R&D company and CEnter of MILitary Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC, Government of India) certified Design Approval company.
