JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is relying on the strengthening of military and technical cooperation with foreign states during the forthcoming VIII Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS 2019) organized by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and to be held in the “Patriot” Park and in Moscow’s Radisson Collection Hotel on April 23-25, 2019.

“Our agenda includes meetings and talks with military delegations at the level of ministers of defence, their deputies and chiefs of defence from over 30 countries. We plan to discuss the current and future joint projects in the field of military-technical cooperation, to hear our partners’ opinions on security challenges in regional and global dimensions and finally update our marketing plans,” said Rosoboronexport’s Director General Alexander Mikheev.

As part of the conference, Rosoboronexport organizes an exhibit with the newest specimen of export-oriented military products and state-of-the-art solutions in the area of security. In particular, the forum attendants will have a chance to see a full-scale specimen of the latest “200th” series of the Kalashnikov assault rifles, developed and produced by the similarly-name corporation, grenade launchers and rounds to them from the JSC “SPA “Bazalt”, combat suits from JSC “TSNIITOCHMASH”. Besides, the NtechLab, a Rostec’s company, demonstrates at Rosoboronexport’s exhibit a unique solution, based on the FindFace face-recognition systems and oriented for the use by armed forces, special operations units and law-enforcement agencies.

The Moscow Conference on International Security has been held since 2012, and since then has become one of the leading world fora to discuss the most acute problems of global and regional security.

Rosoboronexport notes that the forum becomes more and more in demand. The number of participants and the level of representation are growing annually. The number of meetings with participation of the Russian entities of military and technical cooperation is also increasing. This includes Rosoboronexport as the main Russian exporter of military and dual use products.

The conference of the year 2019 will focus on the issues of security in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America, expansion of military cooperation and global security.

“The issues, discussed in the margins of the forum, are closely connected with Rosoboronexport’s activities. Here they touch upon the problems of the regions where we have our present-day strategic business interests. It is very important for us to be part of the dialogue and receive information on the needs of our partners at first hand,” added Alexander Mikheev.
