Military Healthcare 2020: Four-day Virtual Seminar and Exhibition Concludes

New Delhi. Four-day virtual seminar cum exhibition ‘Military Healthcare 2020’ to discuss solutions on ensuring the readiness of our armed forces and contingency preparedness in case of a medical emergency concluded in New Delhi on July 28.

Military Healthcare 2020 brought the Armed Forces and Healthcare Industry together on the same platform to identify the synergies for the mutual benefit of the people from the Services and industry as well. The webinar cum exhibition also gave a major fillip to the Prime Minister’s vision of Make in India.

The event emphasising on Make in India, which was organised virtually, also gained importance as a forum to assemble online in view of the Covid-19 pandemic which restricts movement of people and requires maintaining social distancing.

The webinar-cum-exhibition was a unique virtual event for military practitioners, professionals, researchers, medical equipment and hospital suppliers, dealers and distributors to discuss, interact, learn, imbibe and survey the developments – all from the comfort of their offices and homes.

G. Surgiwear Limited, a leading Indian medical devices company based in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, manufacturing combat medical products for armed forces had setup a virtual booth. The company displayed its combat medical product range including the latest protective medical wearables during the event.

In this demanding time of COVID-19, personal protection has become top priority for the medical fraternity. Another purpose of these wearables is to create sterile environment and protect the patient from the operating team. “Our protective wearables product range includes both disposable and reusable protective wearables, said a company official.

Pranav Shetti, General Manager (Defence), G. Surgiwear on behalf of the company gave a presentation about the combat medical scenario and availability of critical combat first aid kits designed in India.

The major highlights of the event were sharing and discussing solutions on ensuring the readiness of our service members with contingency preparedness, beneficial experience for all the dealers and distributors to connect with key players in the armed forces including senior military leadership, AMC officers, ECHS officers and military hospital administrators.

Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), along with other stakeholders in industry and media, was the main organiser of the event.
