Mamata Emphasises on Working Jointly for Welfare of Nation in Meeting with Eastern Army Commander

New Delhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee emphasised on working jointly with Indian Army for the welfare of the nation.

Banerjee was in a discussion with Lieutenant General MM Naravane, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, who went to meet the former on July 15.

The Army Commander discussed security related issues with the Chief Minister and apprised her of the outstanding work being done by the Army in the region. He assured her of all possible assistance from the Army whenever required.

The Chief Minister lauded the contribution of Indian Army in nation building. She also emphasised on working jointly in various endeavours aimed at the welfare of the nation and assured him of all possible cooperation from the State Government.
