Tel Aviv. In a massive attack, the Israeli Air Force bombed Hamas’s underground tunnel network late Thursday night in the northern Gaza Strip in what military officials said was an exceptional aerial assaults in recent years.

In a 40 minute long air strike that began around midnight, some 160 aircraft dropped over 450 bombs and missiles on 150 targets belonging to a network of tunnels dug by the Hamas terror organization. This network is known as “The Metro” under Gaza city and enables the terrorist to move safely from one site to the other.

IDF Spokesperson Hidai Zilberman called the underground network a “strategic asset” that enabled the Hamas to move weapons and fighters. On Friday morning, the IAF intercepted another drone that crossed from the Gaza Strip into Israel, after the Iron Dome missile defense system had downed one the day before.

Israel has rejected pressures put by the U.S and some European countries to agree to a cease fire. A senior Israeli source told Raksha Anirveda that Israel will finish the task this time. “The Hamas will understand that it made a major mistake when it began launching missiles into Israel”.

In the last two days, the Hamas has launched at least four armed drones in an attempt to challenge the Iron Dome air defence systems. All the four armed drones were destroyed in the air.
