Indian Navy Grants Permanent Commission to SSC Officers into Service

New Delhi. Indian Navy has granted Permanent Commission (PC) to Short Service Commission (SSC) officers into the service.

It may be noted here that the Supreme Court while hearing the plea delivered a judgement on March 17 that Permanent Commission be granted to Short Service Commission officers. In pursuant to the verdict, Indian Navy has completed the selection process for Permanent Commission on December 18.

SSC cadets were demanding for long to grant them Permanent Commission into the respective services.

A total of 80 SSC Officers have been granted Permanent Commission based on vacancies and gender neutral inter-se merit. The list of officers granted PC includes 41 women and 39 male officers.
