New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued to receive congratulatory messages from leaders across the world on May 24, which began a day before on May 23 following the former’s victory in Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

These included telephone calls from Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, United States President Donald Trump, and former Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Warmly felicitating the Prime Minister, President Sirisena noted the enhanced engagements between the two neighbours and expressed his desire to further deepen the ties between the two countries. Prime Minister Modi thanked the Sri Lanka President and expressed his readiness to work even more closely for the benefit of the people of the two countries and the region.

Sincerely thanking the King of Saudi Arabia for his warm felicitations and good wishes for the progress and prosperity of the people of India under the leadership of PM Modi, the Prime Minister conveyed his appreciation for the guidance of Saudi Arabian King to the bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia.

President Trump congratulated the Prime Minister on the unprecedented electoral victory. The two leaders agreed to meet at the forthcoming G-20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, to discuss bilateral relations and global matters. They also agreed to work together for further enhancing the close and strategic partnership between both the nations.
