AN EXHIBITION of Russian technologies supported by Rostec State Corporation and organized at the initiative of the Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC) has opened in Singapore. The exposition includes products of the most well-known Russian brands and promising start-ups.

The exhibition opened in a permanent showroom at the Center for Foreign Promotion of Russian High-Tech Companies and the Presentation of Investment Projects located in Singapore’s largest technopark TechPlace II. The Center is a resident of the technopark, and was established on the basis of a Singaporean company. Therefore, the Center can use all the infrastructure and tools provided by Singapore’s authorities to support high-tech projects.

Apart from Russian companies, several Singaporean firms are also represented at the exhibition. Joint projects with these firms are already being implemented with support from the Center. The exposition seeks to encourage cooperation between Russian and Singaporean companies and increase the presence of Russian producers in Southeast Asia.

“Singapore is one of Russia’s main foreign partners in Southeast Asia. The Russia-Singapore Business Council is a mechanism which allows Russian companies to increase their presence and promote their innovative solutions in the region,” said the Deputy CEO of Rostec and Chairman of the Russia-Singapore Business Council, Nikolay Volobuev. “Strengthening cooperation with Singapore in high technologies is Rostec’s priority.”

In September 2018, RSBC announced that, with Rostec’s support, it would form infrastructure to promote Russian high-tech products. Thus, the international multilingual information and service B2B platform RSTrade was created and the Center for Foreign Promotion was established. The Center acted as an integrator and set up a permanent showroom to present Russian products.

“RSBC aims to achieve effective cooperation with the business community in Singapore and to promote the products of Rostec’s enterprises in Southeast Asia in general. Currently, this region is one of the most attractive markets for exports of Russian high-tech products and solutions. Countries in Southeast Asia are interested in greater and closer cooperation with Russian companies, and Singapore is one of the best places for business development in the world, as the conditions for this are very good,” said the Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of RSBC, Sergey Pronin.
