Defence Minister on two-day Visit to Japan and South Korea

New Delhi. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would be visiting Japan and South Korea from September 2 to 6.

During his visit to Japan from September 2-3, he would co-chair the Annual Defence Ministerial Dialogue (ADMD) with his Japanese counterpart Takeshi Iway. The Ministerial Dialogue would aim to further strengthen India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and include wide-ranging discussions to enhance the bilateral defence and security engagements between the two countries.

Defence Minister Singh is also scheduled to call on Japanese Premier Shinzo Abe.

In his South Korea stay from Septemeber 5-6, he would have a bilateral dialogue with Jeong Kyeong – Doo, Minister of National Defence. He would also call on South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak – Yon.

A CEO’s Forum followed by a Business-to-Government (B2G) meeting would also be held in Seoul with the participation of members of Defence Industry from both sides with the aim to encourage India – South Korea Defence Industry co-operation.
