Covid-19 Vaccination Drive for Healthcare Workers of Indian Navy Commences

New Delhi. In accordance with Government directives, Covid-19 vaccination drive for health care workers of Indian Navy commenced at Naval Station Delhi on January 16. The vaccination drive was inaugurated in the presence of , Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh.

Western Naval Command COVID-19 vaccination drive begins at INHS Asvini

The first phase of immunisation against COVID-19 was initiated at INHS Asvini. This phase is directed at immunising healthcare workers (HCWs) at INHS Asvini and other HCWs in Mumbai.

The vaccination drive was rolled out with Rear Admiral Sheila Mathai, VSM, Commanding Officer, INHS Asvini receiving the first dose of the vaccine. A total of 100 HCWs including Medical Officers, Nursing Officers and other paramedical staff were vaccinated on Day one.

Eastern Naval Command COVID-19 Vaccination starts for Indian Navy at INHS Kalyani

COVID-19 Vaccination Programme of the Indian Naval Healthcare Workers (HCW) was launched by VAdm Atul Jain, FOC-in-C Eastern Naval Command at the vaccination centre INHS Kalyani. The vaccine was given to 40 Covid warriors involving doctors, nurses, para medical staff, health workers, ward sahyakas and medical attendants in coordination with District Health Authorities at Visakhapatnam.

Southern Naval Command COVID-19 Vaccination Drive commences at INHS Sanjivani

COVID-19 vaccination drive commenced at INHS Sanjivani, under the guidance of Surgeon Rear Admiral Arti Sarin, Command Medical Officer, Southern Naval Command. All arrangements for vaccinating 100 personnel per session were completed.

The vaccination centre staff underwent rigorous training and state of the art Vaccination Centres have been set up with dedicated manpower to conduct incident free vaccination.

A robust reporting mechanism for real time monitoring of the programme and reporting of side effects has also been established.

The drive will initially cover all frontline healthcare workers and thereafter all serving Naval personnel will be vaccinated in a phased manner.
