Aero India: Lockheed Martin Signs LoI with Midhani, Teams up with TASL for Indian Navy’s NUH Requirement

New Delhi/ Bengaluru. American aerospace major Lockheed Martin has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Mishra Dhatu Nigam (MIDHANI), a Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) to explore indigenisation of raw materials for aerospace and defence platforms.

In another development at Aero India, Lockheed Martin and Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) teamed up to meet Indian Navy’s proposed requirement for Naval Utility Helicopter (NUH).

 

“Lockheed Martin is pleased to further strengthen the growing US-India partnership through the announcement of a teaming with TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) for the India Naval Utility Helicopter (NUH) program. Building on our long-standing partnership, we remain committed to fostering technology development and strategic collaboration in India,” the company said in press statement.

Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited is a specialised metals and metal alloys manufacturing facility located in Hyderabad, Telangana. It is a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

Tata Advanced Systems Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, a holding company for the Tata Group. It is the lead systems integration company for delivering weapons from the Tata Group to the Indian defence forces.
